In the year 2025, the JKSSB Board has published advertisements for various departments, like 600 posts of Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department, Driver posts, Junior Assistant posts, Sub-Inspector posts, and many others. For all of the above posts, the JKSSB Board has now published the tentative dates of the exams. So, in this article, we will provide you with the date of the exam for all the above recruitments.
Forest Department Posts And Website Operator/Junior Assistant OMR Test Exam Dates
In the Lt. Governor’s Secretariat, J&K Department, there is one Website Operator advertised in the UT cadre, and the exam for this post is now tentatively planned to be held in February 2026. In the case of the Forest, Ecology, and Environment Department, vacancies are pending for the 2021-22 session, and the exams for these vacancies are to be held in March-April 2026. Hence, all the applicants are requested to accelerate their preparations for the exams. The schedule of the exams has been provided below:
Home Department Posts And Junior Assistant / Junior Scale Stenographer OMR Test Dates
JKSSB has also announced certain jobs within the Home Department for the year 2025, for which the OMR test has now been scheduled for March 2026. The JKSSB has also announced certain jobs for the post of Junior Assistant & Jr Scale Stenographer for the year 2025, for which the OMR test has been scheduled for April 2026.
Candidates applying for the positions in the Home Department, Junior Assistants, or Stenographers are advised to accelerate their preparations for the exams, since only a few months are left for the examination. The entire list of examinations has been provided for you to check below.
FAA Exam Date And Other Posts Skill Test Dates
JKSSB has recently released a notification of 600 posts of Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department as Notification Number 10 of 2025. Candidates can apply for this post even today. The board has released the date of the examination for this post as well. The candidates willing to apply for this post can prepare for the examination, as there is enough time for the exam. This examination is scheduled to be held in June 2026.
Moreover, dates for the skill test for certain recruitments/posts have been announced by the JKSSB board. For instance, the skill test for Driver Recruitment, the skill test for Website Operator/Junior Assistant Recruitment, and the PET/PST for Sub Inspector (Police) Recruitment will be held from February-March 2026, March-April 2026, and August-September 2026, respectively.
Apart from the posts mentioned above, dates for the examination for many other posts have also been announced, which can be seen in the JKSSB exam date list provided below. Candidates should keep in mind the important point that the JKSSB Board has come up with the notification for one or two other posts a few days ago, and the date for the examination for those posts will be released later.
